In the Wake of Nurin Jazlin Tragedy

Who has not heard about the gruesome case of child sexual abuse and murder of Little Nurin Jazlin? The news that shook the nation to its core. In the aftermath, there's a lot of tongue barkingwagging and finger pointing. While it was reckless to allow a small child to walk alone at night, isn't losing her the biggest pain? Does anyone need to pour salt, lime and chilli on their wounds? Enough already! If they want to prosecute negligent parents, then DO prosecute those who tied their child and put them on a fridge, or those who allow their children to be young 'mat rempits'-in-the-making.Why just aim to punish just as an example.

As for the devil incarnate (scum of the earth), once he's caught. He deserves capital punishment which should be mandatory death sentence without ever a chance of being pardoned (on the basis of insanity etc). How he should die? The same way he killed a helpless girl and torturing her, painfully and slowly. Ever read about the ancient Chinese way of torturing by dismemberment? That should work on him.

Why am I being so angry? Why shouldn't I? I have little nieces that are the centre of my world, and this incident, my dearest, could happen anywhere. Even in the sleepy rural town. What has come to humans? During my childhood, I could play outside ALL day without worries. But now, *sigh*

My deepest condolence to late Nurin's family. The hearts of all Malaysians are with you now. Be strong and have faith that God's justice always prevails.

May her soul rest in eternal peace. Amen.
