I visited my 'shrink' again

Hehehe...and my shrink told me to get the skirt. Hahaha
Paid RM42.00 for the skirt (inclusive of RM8.00 for the courier delivery).
I love the pattern on the skirt, reminds me of a tropical paradise. It can be worn in two ways; as a normal skirt and as a tube dress... nice, huh?
I guess this is going to be my Christmas skirt, that is if I received it before Christmas. All I need next is a simple plain coloured top to pair with it. Hehehe
Tomorrow going for facial again. My zits are shaking with fear, sebab mau kena picit all the nenek and cucu jerawat...Ouch!
-------
(evil laugh)
hasuted my friend to check out my online shrink. She loves it! Oh yeah, I'm willing to share my shrink ;-)
And I think you better check it out too. Real nice and they're giving a good deal (compared to the shops with the annoying salesperson following us like a hawk and breathing down our necks. Heck, that's why if you ever seen any berlubang-lubang salesperson, you know they already kena laser-ed by me. Muahahahaha)
What are you waiting for? Go go go!
*** keeping my eyes on some pretty items. Sabar... Sabar... Satu hari lagi ;-p

Who needs a shrink?

When there's retail therapy?
Since I was still a bit upset over something that happened (refer to previous post, if you're curious), and (thankfully) no shopping mall within 30km radius of my place, I resorted to window shopping/surfing(?) online (pathetic,no?)
Then I visited this site and there are plenty of gorgeous clothes here for me to cuci mata... hehe
Did I buy anything?
Yes, this dress (nice or not?)for RM 37.00 (That's RM29.00 for the dress and RM8.00 for the courier service).
And payment is easy, just pay either through Maybank or Public Bank.
It's that simple.

Trust & Betrayal

I trusted her.
Hell, I treated her like a sister.
And what did she do with that trust?
Threw it into the drain and told my personal problems to others.
I helped her get her current job.
And how did she show gratitude?
By telling all and sundry about my life.

Did you ever stop and think of your actions?
This is a small place sayang, and I'm bound to know about it.
You know how much I guard my privacy and to what extreme my wrath could be,
Why do you still do it?
Despite all your pleadings and begging,
I.Will.Never.Forgive.Or.Forget.
Mark my words.

*** Your karma will catch up with you, one day when you least expected it. That time my dear, stop and think, what have you done to fuck your life.

Pesta Nanas 2008: Love at 1st Sight

I fell in love at first sight last year.
It was during Pesta Nanas and I was walking around, looking at nothing in particular, when we met.
It was instantaneous.
My heart raced and cold sweat glistened on my forehead.
I must have you, I told myself.
But it was not meant to be. I was broke and money-less. I realized right there and then that we'd have to part ways.
My heart broke. But I made a promise to myself that should we ever meet again, I will not give up. I will have you.
.
.
.
.
.
.

.
.
.
.
.
Fast forward to Pesta Nanas 2008.
This time I went, hopeful that I will meet you again. I saw one that looked similar to you but alas, it was not you. It was pale in comparison to you. You, my dear, is one of a kind.
I was eager to catch a glimpse of you that I dragged my friend along in my quest to meet you again. I almost lost hope until I saw you right there. As if you were waiting for me. I quickly made up my mind. Whatever it costs, you will be coming home with me.
.
.
.
.
.
I paid the price.
And you're home with me.

Holiday is here

I know I've been MIA for quite a while. Now that SPM is finally over, then I can blog babeh... Haha. Can't promise I'll post a million entries but hey, at least once in a while. Holiday's even more tiring thing than my working days.
My list for the holiday:
- My cousin's moving to her new house. So have to volunteer jadi kuli batak/driver/mandur/interior designer/tukang menyibuk.
- We are going to Sri Aman for my late cousin's Gawai Antu ceremony.
- Kuli mencuci rumah.
- Have to go to school also since our beloved Pingu mintak itu dan ini... This is why I'd so hate those people who voted for me as the AJK Staf.
- My own 'partayyyy' (stress-inducing)
- a zillion things that my family will surely request/mintak/order me to do

----------------------------------------------------
What are posts without pictures to accompany it. Here's some taken using not-so-impressive 6210Classic's konon nya 2MP camera.

Taken at a beach in Sematan. The sea was rather choppy so we could only roll in the waves a la Dugong/Penguin/Seal..Haha

Next, take a look at my loot from Serikin..Heheh...

Take a look at this heap of nasi campur that I had at Red Dragon Cafe/Restaurant at Bau. This only cost me RM4.50... Now that is cheap since I took sweet n sour pork, pork and salted vege soup, kachang ma chicken and vege... I want to go there again..Huhu...
Me jadik mak datin since my travel partner didn't trust me to drive a manual car..Haha... Lagi la aku senang hati..
I got my new magnetic scrabble set..Yippeee....
The view from my friend's house in Bau. Beautiful...Cemburu nya....
Geng ronda2

My (ongoing) holiday project...

Buah Pakan (I mabuk after eating this fruit... So sad)
Assam Fish Head @ SugarBun S'kei (notice the 'head' is actually the tail but i'm not complaining) I found it delicious. Will definitely go and have it again.

Weekend Road Trip

I'm going on a road trip this weekend with my 2 partners-in-crime, Jos and Anie. Our destination? Bau-Lundu-Kch-Serikin. Will be staying at Jos' village in Bau and then we'll meet choo2 in Lundu (Jos is transferred there *sob*sob* kurang satu member breakfast). Jalan2, makan2, etc.
The part I'm looking forward to the most: shopping in Serikin. Forget the Spring, Boulevard, etc. This is the place to hunt for beautiful fabrics at very el-cheapo prices. Habis lah mak memborong kain-kain segala...

*Giggles*

More than 10 years ago, the pleasant-looking pond/lake was just a fugly marshland and the building at the back did not even existed. Now, the whole landscape of the place is so nicely done. Darn, why didn't it looked a wee bit like this before?
Where the heck is this place?
Yes, it's my former school, the shitty place i spent two years of my life. Why shitty, you ask? 'cause we didn't have teachers for subjects like physics (amazing I did well for my physics examination) and some of our teachers are lazy. Imagine, for 1 semester our BM teacher did not enter our class and the good-for-nothing principal didn't do a f**king thing. It's a miracle that most of us managed to get good results for our SPM despite the setbacks. The only teachers that I really liked are my Maths teacher, Mdm Liew and English teacher, Ms.Lily. Hehe
Now, I am here again. In the same building where I took my SPM, as an Invigilator.
p/s: Still have the annoying noisy people living next to the school block.

My friends introduced me to this makan place. OMG, I really like the food here. 'cause it's steamboat-style and it's supposed to be healthy kan? And I love the fried rice...
Gonna go here next time with my friend for my birthday! Yay!

I tried a recipe (steamed pork with cincaluk) from STP's blog. Wow, marvellous! My mum was puzzled as to where on earth did i learn this recipe. Hehehe... From your org kampung lah mak!
p/s: STP, very sedap lah. Licin habis kena sapu la this lauk...

"Aunty, look at ma chubby-licious cheeks :)"

Baby Octavious Saran is 1 month old. Yay!!!

Hehehe...Ta-dah...
I decided to curl my hair. Together with Jos and Anie, after an intense hasut-menghasut session during our breakfast in Sarikei, we went to Sibu to get our hair styled and done. We tried Jesmine Hair Salon somewhere in the same block as Rejang Bookstore. Be forewarned though, it's very busy and packed during weekends so be prepared to wait. Kinda liked this style also.
What do you think?
p/s: This is the effect of being bored out of my mind while invigilating the exam. Hahaha

I'm a Coach

Your result for The Perception Personality Image Test...

HFDS - The Coach

Humanity, Foreground, Detail, and Shape

You perceive the world with particular attention to humanity. You focus on what's in front of you (the foreground) and how that is affected by the details of life. You are also particularly drawn towards the shapes around you. Because of the value you place on humanity, you tend to seek out other people and get energized by being around others. You like to deal directly with whatever comes your way without dealing with speculating possibilities or outcomes you can't control. You are highly focused on specific goals or tasks and find meaning in life by pursuing those goals. You prefer a structured environment within which to live and you like things to be predictable.

The Interview

I've been busy the past few days. One of the reason is that I am going for my pelantikan interview, the first step in being in the teaching profession with the gomen la...
I have to admit that I was a bit nervous after listening to horror stories of those who went to theirs. Meremang bulu dengar cerita sidak nya... Ney nok kenak terais, kena anuk...adohai....
It's certainly not helping that I was busy with work-related stuffs also but two days before the interview, i put other things on hold (to hell with what happen la) so that I could concentrate on the preparations for the interview. So many documents to photocopy and get my boss to sign. Senior teachers in my school and my colleagues were very supportive with their prayers, tips and kata2 penyedap hati..Hehehe...Thanks peeps.
A small miracle happened. The night before the interview I was surfing for some information related to the interview that I suddenly had this nagging urge to find information about cluster schools. You know what? That's one of the question that my interviewer asked me... Praise the Lord!
In my opinion, I was able to do quite well in the interview since I could answer and communicate my views to the interviewer. Apart from goreng2 one of my answers la..He asked me which principle of KBSM that I used and how do I use it in my teaching. I was thinking, "Damn, what the hell?" Then to get more time to think I politely asked him to repeat his question since I'm not understanding clearly... Phewww... Saved my cute arse just in time (I think I got it right since I glanced at what he was writing and I get a decent score for that question)... Hahaha
When I asked the teachers in my school, they also don't know the answer... o.O
The other questions were relatively simple and straightforward... Hope I aced it.
After the interview, I went to eat at KFC@Sanyan before going to Farley to get this...

Smiles ^____^

Introducing: Octavius Saran

My sis in law delivered a healthy bouncy baby boy yesterday morning at 5.45 am... Baby Octavius Saran weighed 3.39kg and both Mum and baby is doing well ^__^

The whole clan is ecstatic with the new arrival as the last 'baby' is already in Standard 1. My dad is particularly happy (and proud) since Mum remarked that the baby has his forehead..hehe. My brother gave my Dad and I the honour by naming the baby after our suggestions. So,we have Octavius (since he's born in October) Saran (my Dad named him after one of my great grandfathers)...

I love the smell of babies. They have this pleasant smell, especially after their bath, that if I can bottle it and sell it as perfume, I'd be filthy rich. Hehe...

Say Hi to Baby Octavius Saran ^__^ Cuddly kissable cheeks..Hehe

My Worst Nightmare

To tell you the truth (an embarrassing one that is), a visit to the Dentist is a nightmare for me. Which explains why I haven't gotten myself to start wearing braces. I have uneven teeth as well as a few 'extra' ones here and there. Recently though, I have started thinking of getting dental braces for myself. Not just for aesthetic purposes but also for professional purpose. Why? Since I am teaching language, I need to properly enunciate the sounds to enable the students to correctly pronounce the words. As it is, I have problems in pronouncing the /t/ sound.

So today we had a talk on Dental Care by Dr. Anto Wasono, a dentist with the local dental clinic. After the talk, we were given free dental checks where we can schedule an appointment for follow up treatment. As I was standing in line, I was chanting "Think happy thoughts, Think happy thoughts" to myself over and over again. Flashes of painful experience visiting the dentist when I was a child (and one that involves 6-year-old me punching the daylights out of the dentist). Aiyo, bergegar rasa lutut... But I have to put a brave front in front of my colleagues and some were very supportive (Thanks peeps!).

When it was my turn I informed Dr. Anto that I'm planning to get dental braces and would like to know how many teeth has to be extracted before the procedure can be done. He is a very friendly and nice dentist. So, he pried and prodded my teeth and he informed me something that I feared the most;

" Your wisdom tooth is infected. You'd have to get it extracted."

Oh no! That will require dental surgery where they will cut open my gum and break the tooth into pieces before extracting it. Reading it makes you wince already kan?

"Hmm... To get braces done you will need to extract two from the upper jaw and another two from your lower jaw. First we will do scaling for you to remove the calculus (it's the hard deposit on the teeth not the mathematics lah! See, I do learn something from the talk.. Hehe) and next we will extract the extra tooth in your lower jaw. It is useless and will only make it difficult for you to effectively clean your teeth."

Argh!!! Cabut gigi?! The only way I can muster enough grit to get my tooth extracted is to bring my Dad along. He's the only one who can make me lemah lutut and submit to the torture extraction procedure. Huhuhu... Nanges!

Cooking: Anakapai's Steamed Chicken

This is one of my favourite dish. It's easy and very simple to prepare. Taste a bit like pansuh manuk also, so if you can't find any bamboo to use, can try this ^_^

Ingredients:
4 pcs chicken wings
1 inch Ginger
4 or 5 pcs red shallots
6 cloves garlic
3 pcs cili padi
1 stalk lemongrass (bruised)
salt
white pepper

1. Clean and drain chicken wings.
2. Pound the ginger, garlic and cili padi but not 'lumat'.
3. Cut the shallots into quarters.
4. Mix the pounded ingredients with the meat. Season with salt and pepper (it is important to put a bit extra salt as the 'juices' will come out from the meat).
5. Arrange the shallots.
6. Steam for 30 - 40 minutes (depending on the amount of chicken used)

This is how it looks like before steaming

This is the 'after' - The gravy is simply sllluuurrrpppyyyy sedap!

TRY IT!

Cooking: Anakapai's Chicken Curry

Since my parents are away and I have three of my nieces and nephew staying with me and it's been ages since I cooked my feymes curry (feymes because my house mates always begged me to cook it for them), I decided to cook some chicken curry and blog about it (blame it on STP's influence..hehe)

The mise-en-place

The ingredients:
5 pcs chicken wings(marinate with curry powder)

1 stalk lemongrass (bruised)

Pounded ingredients
1 inch ginger
3 cm turmeric
3 pcs cili padi
red shallots
garlic

Curry Powder - mixed with water into a thick paste
(I used Adabi's chicken and meat curry powder)

2 pcs Chicken stock cubes

Potatoes - half boiled and quartered
Brinjals - halved and cut into 2 inches pieces.

Coconut Milk

Use some cooking oil to fry the lemongrass stalk, then add the pounded ingredients until fragrant.
Add the curry paste and fry until fragrant.
Add the chicken, make sure the chicken pieces are well coated by the paste before adding water.
Add the chicken stock cubes.

After it starts to boil, add the potatoes and brinjals (I added brinjals since my niece and nephews doesn't really like to eat veggies- this way they'll have to eat it / I couldn't be arsed to cook it separately)

When the brinjals are almost cooked, add the coconut milk. Lightly stir.
When the potatoes and brinjals are cooked, it is ready to serve. :-)

Ta-dah! Anakapai's chicken curry.

This was what we had yesterday...hehe
