Lazy Sunday

It's a lazy Sunday. Didn't even know that Mum, Dad, Mak and Aba went to Durin today. Either hey didn't wake me up or I didn't wake up when they tried to wake me. Hehehe...
[Note: Mum did try to wake me up but I thought it was a dream and all I could hear was "Na, bra bla ble bla bla?". Hehehe... Menyesal]

Slept at 5 a.m. so I 'pengsan' until it was almost 9.30 a.m. Was busy copying my Naruto anime DVDs for my cousin. Also, tummy acting all weird and frequently get the urge to run to the loo every now and then.
Woke up, straight away took my shower (ah, so refreshing!) and went to the kitchen to eat breakfast. Kak Asih (my Mum's maid) wanted to prepare my breakfast but I said I prefer to do my own. My menu; half-boiled egg with Somboi juice. Weird choice?Hmm... It tasted good actually. Unusual, but good.
Then makan kuaci while watching TV and then... lunchtime.
And now it's back to burning DVDs for my cousin.
Tomorrow, I'll know where I'm posted.

Last Friday, sis treat me for some ice cream (Mum & Dad are so gonna kill us both). Being the glutton that I am, I ate it without much considerations towards my condition.
WRONG.THING.TO.DO.
The coughing fit started.
The fit caused my chest and diaphragm to hurt (real bad. as if being squeezed tight).
Wheezing and echoing sounds when I breathe.
Dang!
I had to put some balm there and to use the inhaler.twice.
You see, i hate using the inhaler and I try to minimize the use (only if I absolutely have to) to reduce dependency.
Lessons learnt:
I have to say goodbye to ice cream and cold2 stuffs ( hopefully it's just temporarily) and have to ensure that i wear sweaters in cold places.
Also, I found out that drinking warm homemade 'somboi' juice helps to stop the coughing fit. ^_^

A Change Would Do Good

Decided to change the way this blog looks like. I was bored of the way it looks and had quite some free time on my hands, so.. ta-dah!
Change, some says, symbolizes a rebirth. Of rising from the ashes. A fresh new outlook towards life. Living life as God wills me to live it.

I read this somewhere,
"Why is it that, when we speak to God, it is called praying, but when God speaks to us,it is schizoprenia?"

How true. Heheh... Opps...

Hmm.... Been so long since I last went to Mt. Singai. I really miss that place. It's like a sanctuary to me. Where I found the serenity to be at peace with nature, myself and God... And an escape from the din and ugliness of the world. The water there, oh, so cold but refreshing. As if it could wash all your fatigue and pain. Am thinking of inviting some friends to join me to go there. Or I might join retreat organized by UiTM or GPK... Yeah... That would be good.

Sanna flew back to KL yesterday. No, she didn't use the Nimbus, I needed that to fly to where I'm to be posted lah. Hahah...
She's 7 years younger than me so we kind of grew up together. But during those years, we were like oil and fire. You should never mix us together. But now, we get along well. Just like having a close friend to be crazy with... The difference with having sisters/brothers/cousins/nephews/nieces as your friend is that they will never ditch you. Or develop strangey-feely towards you.
Sanna, do your absolute best in your studies and take care (Don't forget to go to Mass and pray daily). God bless you always.

They Believed We Could Fly!!

Wow, I just realized that the P.U.T (people up there) really had a huge faith in us. Not only are we the pioneer batch in the Dip.Ed programme under them and had such an adventurous time, now they believed that we actually could fly. Wow, such faith. We're so flattered. not!

Yes, that's us ready to fly off to our postings with our kryptonite-enhanced powers.

How could it not be the case when we will only know our postings (which could be anywhere in this HUGE state, either in the urban jungle or the remotest rural area) on the 31st of December AND we're expected to report for duty on the 2nd day of the new year. Think that's impossible? Oh no, you see, they expect us to have super powers or at least a flying broom/carpet/whatchamacallit that will enable us to arrive there right on time. Or that accommodations will 'magically' appear so that we'll have a place to stay... No, wait, we won't need a place to stay. WE HAVE THE NIMBUS 2001.

SWEET. With this, I can 'ulang-alik' from my house to work

Ain't that 'sweet'. Guess I'm not to enjoy a pleasant start to my new year. But here's to you:

It is the in the season of Advent. A period to prepare ourselves to receive Christ into our lives. This is the season to reexamine ourself and all the things that we did along the year. It is also our chance to count our blessings and to thank God for all that He had given us, especialy the gift of the birth of our Savior.

I thank the Lord for the blessings that He had given me:

My life (You saved me when I was in the womb, You saved me when I was born, and keeping me alive through all the years)

my family (they made me into who I am, my flesh and blood, my pillar and my greatest supporters),

friends (for being there and sometimes, for not being there),

getting into my Dip.Ed and scoring as the top student (proving that people who lived on trees are naturaly have better cognitive functions),

my lecturers (they've taught me one thing or the other),

Dr.Gaudart, my mentor (my inspiration to be the best)

my practical teaching,

my students (the good, the bad and the ugly),

my youngest cousins, Baby Blessed Gabriel Jaydean and Baby Kyra Alexandra Yap (their birth are nothing short of miracles),

finally free of the thing that been making my life miserable (I am a survivor),

the mistakes i have made (that i will be wiser),

and the strength that Christ has given me thus far (You are my light, my star to Betlehem).

Art of Friendship & Almost Crash (Rant-Alert!)

Hmm...just came back from my longhouse yesterday.wanted to post the pictures of flooded areas in Sibu but the camera's stil with Dad. so maybe next time (if i ever get to it la)..heheh
am keeping low now, not even calling any nearby friends to go out or anything. ya lah, sometimes my genuine interest to meet up might be misunderstand. It's better if I focus on my projects.
But my friend, Dr Debs will be coming for Christmas (ni la kawan aku masa susah dan senang, bukan masa susah ja ingat pada orang).
In fact, this reminds me of something that happened during my matriculation. I once swore to my friend, Nurasykin (mana engkau sekarang ni hah?), that I will stop being too nice and suka sangat membantu because in the end, macam melepas anjing tersepit, my back kena stab.
So I changed to be a hard-hearted, acidic tongue bitch. but deep inside, still macam marshmallow, quick to feel concern and pity. I don't know, but if i consider someone as my friend, i truly cares about them. But it does sadden me when they don't seem to appreciate it..so, buat apa lagi mau buat something yang sia-sia. there are others deserving of it more...
***************
on another note, i felt like throwing a brick at a 4WD yesterday. Sial punya driver, buta ka tak nampak our Hilux, masih mau overtake other cars depan dia...Not one car ja, but 3 cars. And almost crashed into us.
Stupid a$$hole!You f*cking blind kah?!
I was sure that if we were in a Kancil or smaller car, mesti he will not give a damn and langgar ja. Thankfully my Dad is cool and didn't panic. If not memang we would have crashed into the ditch.
Dear rude 4WD driver, there is karma and retribution in this world. One day my dear, YOU will recieve what you have given unto others...
F*ckFace!!!

My New Gadget

Yes, it's my new best friend. ..Dr Simon Yii from Rejang Specialist Medical Centre advised me to use it. Apparently I have asthma (i think it was mild) since at night I will have wheezing noises when I breathe. When my coughing spell starts, that is when I wouldn't be able to sleep or breathe well. Last night I used the evohaler and my coughing subsides. Wah, finally I can sleep well. Also taking medications (steroids for my lung and antibiotics) to recover..
*Yuck!I hate medications*
I've used the evohaler before, 10 years back to be exact. I weaned myself to stop relying on it but now the Doctor advised me to use it again to keep it under control.
Had my Hepatitis A immunization also yesterday. 2nd dose will be administered in 6-months time.

Vampire Results

My blood test results came out today. Mum n Dad went to pick it up.
The results are...
everything is ok, except
my cholesterol is a wee bit high, LDL one is a bit high (that's the bad cholesterol right?), i need immunisation against Hep A, and my ESR and lymphocyte level is a bit high. I need to watch my glucose and also my uric acid levels since mine is a bit borderline amid being within the normal range.
*sigh*
now my parents are going to watch what i eat like a hawk... have to watch my cholesterol level also.
Yesterday, went to Sibu with Sis to accompany her n the kids to get their blood tested (my family are health freaks except me). Then went to get this done at Alan Salon & Academy...heheh

BLOOD SUCKING VAMPIRES vs SPEAKERS

Got my blood tested.

and that was after 3 days and after my niece rubbed some medicated oil on it to 'break' the clot.

and my mum's (she took d same test at the same time) arm is perfectly ok, no bruising whatsoever.

*sigh*

**********************************

mum got me a brand new speaker set for my laptop. wah...

actually didn't expect mum to get the speakers for me, as the conversation prior to that went along these lines...

Me: Dad. Look these are the speakers i told u about. Nice kan? (secretly hoping Dad will say, yeah.come, let's go buy)

Dad: Hmm...how much does it cost?

Me: Mmmm..this smaller one cost around RMXXX. Good la Dad.Can this, that, bla bla bla... (I should ve been in sales)

Dad (turns to Mum): Ok. Eh, ma... Uji nuan meli tu? Buy la...

Mum: I won't buy if it is that. bla bla..ur home office is messy...bla bla..throw ur junk away..bla bla...anything to do with ur gadgets i wont...bla bla (mum thinks Dad wants the speakers, i guess)

Dad: Dah jangka dah u would say that. Saja mau try tanya..hehehe
(so I was thinking, well... no hope already lah.makan hati, jantung and paru2 onli lah...)

Suddenly after lunch,

Mum: Na, how much is the speaker that u want?

Me : ???? RMXXX.

Mum: Get dressed then. Let's go to Sibu.

Me :????

In car,

Dad: What did u say to ur mum? Did u beg her?

Me : No. I was surprised also lah.

Dad: Hmm... Must be ur mum got another plan.

(yes, she went hunting for vases but didn't buy.yet)

and yay..i got these babies.hahaha...

mum is ok with me blasting the roofs off because my room is the furthest from theirs.hahaha...The word? simply beautiful. the bass is so good u can almost taste the sounds.hehehe
