I got 4 wedding invitations and all of them are on the same day at different parts of Malaysia (Perak, Sabah, Sibu and Sri Aman). Is it the moon phase or something? Why must it be on the same day? Akai, how am I supposed to go now?

So Tired!

Image taken from here.
What a tiring month! I was away from school for 3 days two weeks in a row. Tons of things to do that I'm halfway buried by now. Thankfully tomorrow is the start of exam week. I really hope to catch up on everything. Until the nightmare of marking begins, that is.

Had our teacher's day celebrations yesterday. It was held on a much grander scale than the previous year. Biasa lah, new boss so new ways of doing things. I had to guide (read: buat semua) the prefects since they're absolutely clueless as to how to decorate the stage. Now my bad leg is hurting from all the climbing up and down from tables.

I did something that surprised my colleagues and students. I sang! Haha... Ambik kau! LOL! Got 3rd place for the poco2 (the others must've been very bad at it if i can get 3rd place). Kena cakar time sukaneka, nasib baik aku tak tukar kaler jadi hulk + wolverine. LOL!

No pics yet because have to wait for my friend to give me the pics taken on that day. Org miskin takde camera. LOL!

"The Voice"

See the man with the mustache in the video? Listen to his voice. Dreamy isn't it?

;-p

He's my lecturer when I was taking Dip.Ed and also my supervisor during my practical teaching. The female teachers in that school fell in love with his voice. Every time he came to observe me teaching, that's the moment that they eagerly look forward to. Suddenly they're very busy passing by my cubicle and every excuse imaginable to linger nearby. Hehehe. He's one of my favourite lecturers, the other one being of course, Dr.G. His classes were fun and very helpful, I never skipped his classes. ;-P

Thanks for the link STP. Gosh, I really missed Mr. Lim's voice.

p/s: Very busy this week. First, with the state-level Karnival Kaunseling and now preparation for Teacher's Day celebration. Aku nak rehat!!!!

I Thought I was Dying

Seriously. I really thought that I was dying. Started feeling sleepy and unwell at 10pm Friday Night. Puked all my dinner and lunch. Slept. Midnight, I woke up again and puked a few more times. Slept again. Woke up again at 1 am and my stomach started to have cramps. By 2 am, I called my sis-in-law to send me to the ER (I was staying alone at home). Bro and sis-in-law sent me to the hospital.
The M.A. gave me buscopan injection to stop the cramps and some pills as well as some ORS. Funny thing is, he didn't examine my stomach to check which area hurt the most. Just asked me questions and prescribe the meds.
I went back and bro told ,me to stay over at their place. Took the ORS and some trisilox. One hour later the cramps came back with triple the intensity. I took some buscopan tablets again but did not make the pain go away. Vommitted until there's nothing to be vommitted. My throat felt like it's going to burst open.
By 4 am I was sobbing from the pain. My niece and sis-in-law stayed up to monitor my condition. My sis-in-law put some of grandma's ointment on my stomach. The pain didn't go away totally but at least by 6am I was able to sleep.
Yesterday spent my day sleeping. Drank 100plus to replenish body fluids. Felt so weak. Nampak nasi rasa mau nangis. Surviving on nestum baby and milk.
Today feel much better. Still resting at home.

A Teacher's Prayer

This was what I posted in my Facebook
Image taken from here

Dear God, let me be a teacher who teach integrity and honesty to my students despite the example that they are showing to my students when they deny my students what was rightfully theirs. May my students learn that despite being treated unfairly, at least we have done our best and convinced others that we did/were the best today. Amen.

I'll write more about this next time. At this moment I am still sad. Sad at the injustice done to my 'girls' who gave their very best and outshone their rivals but still denied what was rightfully theirs just because they are from my school. Sekolah kampung yang nun di luar bandar, masakan harus dibiarkan mengalahkan sekolah bandar. Malulah mereka2 itu. (Sad, but that's what been happening here). Last year, tak lah terkilan sangat but my 'girls' have improved so much and did so well that everyone was rooting for them, even the other judges. Everyone was shocked when the other team was announced as the victors, even our rivals themselves.

I felt like crying when my friend who went with them (I was unable to go because of other commitments) told me that the girls were so sad and frustrated.

How can I not be sad if they ask

"Why, teacher? Why did they do this to us?"
------------------------------------------------
p/s:
Nevermind girls, if they can sleep better with that in their conscience, let them be. Ostriches will be ostriches.

Just make sure we kick serious ass next time! Let's give them hot cayenne jalapeno tabasco panas punya kick ass next year yea? (and we'll bring a DVDcam along to record everything they do.)

Go ahead, ostriches. Make my day!
--------------------------------------------------
p/p/s:
Ada OTK (Org Tua Kutuk) commented to one of my girls,

"You should not use British pronunciation, instead, you must use Malaysian pronunciation"

Hey, OTK! Suka hati la nak guna British pronunciation ke American ke. No wonder your students use PCK English. You show me a dictionary that give us the M'sian pronunciation?

Dasar tua kutuk. Nasib aku tak ada tadi, if not you better make sure you take and prepare all your pills, because I would not give a hoot if you go cardiac arrest after I'm done with you. Aku pantang sungguh dgn manusia jahil macam ini. Nama je dah tua, berpengalaman katanya tapi malangnya... Dah nyaknyinyuk barangkali. Dasar tak puas hati dengan aku dari last year la ni.

Skinny Drumsticks? (Wishful Thinking)

Image taken from here.

Today I went up and down four flights of stairs not less than 10 times. From the ground floor to the second floor. Now if that has no effect towards the reduction of my *ahem* drumsticks, I don't know what to say. Silap2, makin kenyal dan liat pulak itu drumsticks. LOL!

A very tiring day for me and this may well continue until after the middle of this month. May is madness galore.

Need to rest early tonight (wishful thinking?). Dreading tomorrow especially the stinky candidates yang tidak mandi pagi and yet to grasp the concept of personal hygiene (despite being old enough to kawen/beranak pinak) with their unruly bulu ketiak and sweaty bacteria-laden armpits.

*puke*

Wardrobe Malfunction?!

I know all of you are probably dying to know more about the furball but I'm very busy with work-related stuff right now. It's up to my nose and a real pain in the *toot* (work, not the furball)... Its May Madness maybe...

Anyway, decided to share this with you fellas out there. It's a tad embarrassing but whaddahell, I'm telling anyways..

Ever experienced wardrobe malfunctions? Like forgetting to zip up your pants? (One of our teacher unknowingly 'flashed' my class when we were in Standard 2, traumatizing us. LOL!). It's embarrassing of course, no denying that, especially even more so if your job requires you to meet and interact with lots of people.

Wardrobe malfunction is something that I only started to experience when I started working. Last year there's only one incident (minor only, no one perasan ba except for me and mdm A who helped to sew it) when the stitches on my kain kebaya came undone.

But this year, I've had TWO! and both times the stitches came undone at the most bl**dy embarrassing place. ARMPIT!!! Right one to be more specific. Nasib baik takde bulu ketiak...

Like, WTF?! What are the odds that it'll happen twice and at the same part summore. Mesti gara2 menulis di papan hitam ni...Dang!

p/s: Patut lah ketiak kanan rasa dingin je... LOL!
