Blogger rant: Comment & reply

I know I'm supposed to blog about the Gawai celebration this year (visit my photoblog for the snapshots) but I just have to get this out of my system now because I'm kinda pissed off.

At what?

At people who don't have the decency to reply to comments. I find it basic courtesy to reply to comments be it compliments, critiques or even enquiries. Logically thinking, when one asks a question it's because one needs an answer isn't it? We don't need to be a rocket scientist to understand that. I have this policy of responding to the comments left at my blog since it's, you know, human to be polite to others.

What triggered this outburst? I am a supporter of the Iban blogging scene and so I'd visit the blogs on my friends' bloglist. I visited some of the blogs and I happen to see some familiar faces on their blog sonaturally I'd ask if it's the same person that I know. Mana la tau if it's pelanduk dua serupa kan? The first time I commented on this blog (tak payah nak sebut which blog la) I saw someone who looked like my ex-uni mate. I asked. That was last year. Until now, I never get any reply.
Okay.
Then I saw a pic of the blog owner with someone who I knew very well, a family friend, so I commented. Again, no reply.

FCUK la dey!

I may be someone you don't know but hey, a lot of other bloggers who were total strangers have the basic courtesy of replying and from there we became blogger friends.

Is it because I blog mostly in English that you deemed me un-Iban and thus, undeserving to be replied to? (Sh!T man, that was the excuse that an asshole gave me years back. Un-Iban enough my ass! )

Or is it because you're an ass??

A Teacher's Prayer

This was what I posted in my Facebook
Image taken from here

Dear God, let me be a teacher who teach integrity and honesty to my students despite the example that they are showing to my students when they deny my students what was rightfully theirs. May my students learn that despite being treated unfairly, at least we have done our best and convinced others that we did/were the best today. Amen.

I'll write more about this next time. At this moment I am still sad. Sad at the injustice done to my 'girls' who gave their very best and outshone their rivals but still denied what was rightfully theirs just because they are from my school. Sekolah kampung yang nun di luar bandar, masakan harus dibiarkan mengalahkan sekolah bandar. Malulah mereka2 itu. (Sad, but that's what been happening here). Last year, tak lah terkilan sangat but my 'girls' have improved so much and did so well that everyone was rooting for them, even the other judges. Everyone was shocked when the other team was announced as the victors, even our rivals themselves.

I felt like crying when my friend who went with them (I was unable to go because of other commitments) told me that the girls were so sad and frustrated.

How can I not be sad if they ask

"Why, teacher? Why did they do this to us?"
------------------------------------------------
p/s:
Nevermind girls, if they can sleep better with that in their conscience, let them be. Ostriches will be ostriches.

Just make sure we kick serious ass next time! Let's give them hot cayenne jalapeno tabasco panas punya kick ass next year yea? (and we'll bring a DVDcam along to record everything they do.)

Go ahead, ostriches. Make my day!
--------------------------------------------------
p/p/s:
Ada OTK (Org Tua Kutuk) commented to one of my girls,

"You should not use British pronunciation, instead, you must use Malaysian pronunciation"

Hey, OTK! Suka hati la nak guna British pronunciation ke American ke. No wonder your students use PCK English. You show me a dictionary that give us the M'sian pronunciation?

Dasar tua kutuk. Nasib aku tak ada tadi, if not you better make sure you take and prepare all your pills, because I would not give a hoot if you go cardiac arrest after I'm done with you. Aku pantang sungguh dgn manusia jahil macam ini. Nama je dah tua, berpengalaman katanya tapi malangnya... Dah nyaknyinyuk barangkali. Dasar tak puas hati dengan aku dari last year la ni.

Annoyingly Stupid Callers

Puccy's tulan face ("Do NOT mess with me!")

Nowadays, I hate to pick up my phone especially when caller ID shows the numbers beginning with either 03-xxxx xxxx, or private number or even unknown mobile numbers... Usually they mean one thing: TELEMARKETERS.

Damn, I hate getting these calls. Not only that they are such an annoying lot, they are persistently annoying enough to keep calling even when we gave them a whole bucket-load of excuses or ignoring their calls. It seems to me that the only time they will stop is when I told them off or that I am not interested (usually in less than civil ways).

The nicer ones, they let it go at that.

The annoying ones, either pekak or cognitively challenged.

For example, this happened this morning.

I got a call on my mobile and the number was "03 - xxxx xxxx", I don't normally entertain unknown numbers but my parents are away in KL, so I thought that it might just be them.

Here goes the conversation:

Caller : Hello. May I speak to Ms. C.....

Me : Speaking.

Caller : Hi, C..... This is XXXXX from AIA bla bla bla... we are promoting bla bla bla insurance ... bla bla bla... if anything happen to you we will pay full insured amount (Wah! Like wish me die pulak like that hor) bla bla ... Ms C... are you there? bla bla bla...

Me : (very disinterested and increasingly annoyed) but I already have insurance and I don't need anything else at the moment.

Caller : Ms. C... even if you have insurance... bla bla bla ...

Me : (very annoyed/irritated/pissed off) Now look! I am the one paying for all these stuffs and I have the right to say and decide that I don't need it. Okay? (hangs up)

Now I know that they're just doing their job but hey, don't do it at the expense of my sanity okay? I am in PMS-zone now and please do not give me any reasons/excuses to lash out. I'm already naturally sarca-nasty (sometimes) as I am...

Ceritera Sang Homo Beruksial

Disclaimer: This post is may or may not be based on real people or real life events. In case there's similarities to anyone still living, breathing and smelling smelly kentut, or gone kaput, it is highly regretted. not... Hahaha
The Evolution of Man, they say.

I discovered something today.

Something big.

I discovered that there are certain people left behind in the evolution of mankind.

I believe that this particular specimen is stuck somewhere between homo habilis and homo erectus. Let's call this specimen homo beruksial.

Characteristics of a homo beruksial is as follows:
#1.
Incompetent ignoramus nincompoop but likes to display so-called super-competence. It likes to view itself as an indispensable part of the organization machinery, when in fact, even toilet papers are more useful.

#2
Suffers from delusions that it is better than everyone else (not human so cannot refer using he/she la). Thus, it frequently attempts to exert its so called influence or superiority over others. This is when it becomes amusing to watch its antics. It expects a response from others, especially anger so it can do #7. However, the best way to super peeve it is by giving no response at all. Biar nya jak bodo kedirik mpun. Sak tekanan darah nya nait, lekak ya nya mati. Aman dunia.

#3
If it meets a human being that is better than it, then, it will either try to imitate (will sure fail miserably here, beruk la kata kan) or try to harm the human. Ever heard of the saying 'bagai beruk mendapat bunga?'

#4
Since it haven't fully mastered the human language, it is very prone to spinning false tales and stories. Beruk mana reti bahasa manusia?

#5
It particularly enjoys watching others claw each other's eyes out due to #4. Tengok je la beruk kat hutan, tau-tau je la perangai macam mana.

#6
Just as HIV originated from apes, this specimen also carries lethal infectious viruses. Virus kepapasan and Virus keseredahan. Highly contagious so do keep away. At all times.

#7
Just as its not so distant cousin, beruk sarkas, this specimen is also entertaining to observe. It likes to act as the martyr, especially in front of more superior beings. It likes to play the part of the victim when it's actually the villain. Baling batu lepas tu pura-pura terkena batu.

The particular specimen that I discovered was particularly interesting. Disguising as an intellectual and religious person, it actually posses such lethal venomous intent at others. For instance, let's study this scenario:

The day before:
BS (Beruksial or bullshit) complained to PT (a homo sapiens) that it was being bullied into doing the humans' work. It complained that it was burdened by doing all the work and that the humans are a bossy lot.
(note: BS agreed to do the work in the first place and the humans are just following the instructions. Wait, beruk mana reti ikut arahan? Duh!)

Today:
BS told another human that yesterday it was scolded by PT for doing all the work alone.
(Like, huh?)

Ai, kesian la kau beruk. Cuma ada ingatan jangka pendek je. Patut pun ko bodoh macam sial.

Salary to be paid in 2 monthly instalments?

Someone sudah mabuk viagra or suffering from Erecticle Dysfunction ('dead shoot'), 'cause maybe that's the reason he's fucking us rakyats! Maybe it's the only way he can get satisfaction.

Damn!

Another case of 'Do First, Think Later'

The Evil Eye

This morning I was rushing to get to work because I was scared of being late (I have this fear of being late for work, crazy kan?) and so I was cursing and screaming murder at the slow idiots hogging the road. I don't usually speed when I'm driving, only when I feel like it. And boy, was I feeling it this morning.
By the time I reached my workplace, my temper was extremely short. To make things worse, someone parked at my usual spot albeit only being there for a short while (setakat nak teman bini makan kat kantin cari tempat lain la).
But hey, there was suddenly a crowd next to my car as I parked my car. Damn! It was those lower six kids doing their orientation assignments (collecting the teachers' signatures) and they were like sharks waiting to pounce on me the moment I exit my car.
Bloody hell, it's going to take forever.
Are they trying to kid me? I am definitely in my crouching tiger, hidden dragon mood. Nak mati cuba la...
So as I was taking my keys out of ignition, I gave them an evil stare. The one that says, "Try me if you bloody dare!"
And I was able to get to the office without being harassed. Haha
(Actually I arrived earlier than the previous days. Cis, must be the early sunrise)

Road Hazards

Let me ask you this,
Have you ever screamed or simmer in frustration at other road users while on the road?

Answer truthfully, sapa bulak kena panah petir tau.

Ask any of my friends and they will surely tell you that my language is very 'colorful' and 'sweet' when faced with such situation. Unless I am driving with (a) the parents, or (b) my little nephews and nieces, I will surely be hollering at the other drivers. Not that I am a speed freak, I stick to the speed limit for goodness sake, but it's more on the ethics of the other road users.

Here are some of my pet peeves of road users @ Road Hazards.

1. The Driver Whose Instructor Probably Died Before Getting To That Part About The Turn Signal
These drivers still haven't gripped the understanding of the functions of the turn signal.
Come on, the purpose of the car manufacturer to put it there is NOT for aesthetic purposes, it is for use to use to signal whether you are turning into that junction, slowing down to stop or etc. These bloody drivers think that ALL other drivers are mind readers. It's not even like they are charged RM0.10 for every single bloody time they use the signal. It's bloody frustrating when I want to turn into the main road but wasting my time waiting for a stupid driver who was moving slowly only to see them turning into the junction.
fuck,fuck,fuck

And signalling at the last moment is also unacceptable you bloody idiot!

2. The Indecisive Driver
You can spot this driver from a mile away. He wobbles to the left, then right, signals left, then right, left again, speeds up, slows down and/or brakes suddenly. It's so NOT amusing when we are driving behind them. You idiot, just stay at home until you know where you want to go okay!

3. The 'Jual Ikan' Driver
His mantra is probably "Thy shall never overtake me". They will speed up when there are other drivers wanting to overtake them but then slows again when it's not possible to overtake them only to speed up again at the next straight road.
*mentally blowing up the idiot's car*

4. The Slug (Hingus?) Driver
These drivers should be labeled as 'S' for Slugs, cause they drive so slow that a person riding a bicycle can overtake them. Argh! Bagus lagi ko turun kereta lepas tu engkau pi tolak kereta tu Bengong!

5. To Turn or Not To Turn Motorcyclist
This particular type of motorcyclist really makes me mad. It's something that I usually face in Sarikei or Bintangor, seldom in big cities or towns. These motorcyclists would slow their motorcycle and moves to the side of the road, glance momentarily at others and then turns right. Sometimes sans the turn signal.
Bloody hell!
My dad was involved in an accident because of this last year. The bloody stupid aunty did that and just as my Dad was overtaking her, she turned right. Siap nak meraung-raung kat bapak aku. Bagus apa bapak aku tak biar engkau mampus tepi jalan. Dah la tayar kereta bapa aku meletup sebab engkau yang bangang. Sheesh...

Who the hell let these idiots on the road anyway? Not that I am prone to road rages, I'm more of a road snark (the habit of making deeply sarcastic comments while driving, usually when another driver has done something stupid. It’s far less criminal than road rage, and with practice it can be much more satisfying) but surely you've met such drivers.

What's your experience?

(Mis)Adventures No.1

In my last post I wrote about how I was involved in a verbal combat with a fellow and how the very next day I am going for the semi-finals.

More like a second round of verbally lashing at people.

That nutcase who promised to have another round of casting lots for the semi finals seemed to suffer from amnesia (more likely a premature 'nyanyuk' case) and neglected to inform his committee that there is to be another casting of lots.

The same nutcase that was loitering and enjoying his mighty breakfast at the canteen, while we, waited in the quarantine room for his say in the matter.

Enter an extremely irritating nutcase no.2 who somehow possessed the ability to sound insulting even when he's complimenting others. Enter sidekick no.2, a disillusioned wannabe minahsalleh with extreme stuck up-piness that it radiates from her pores.

These two managed to hear and experienced the best of me.

How dare you insult my kids who worked so hard by insisting that they are scared of going against you?

How bloody dare you?!

Meh sini aku nak cili-cili kan mulut cabul kau tu!

Padan muka. Kan dah dua2 tercedera kena laser aku...

In the end, my persistence and fighting spirit paid off and we had another casting of lots. Lain kali, jangan ingat aku ni org baru korang ingat senang2 nak pijak aku... Jangan nak gali lubang kubur sendiri la...

My kids were brilliant and we went into the finals. Although I was not there for the finals** , the girls made me really proud as they were confident and not even an ounce of fear shows when they fought against Ms.StuckUp's kids. We lost, but as I said to them, we'll see them again next year. Until then, let's sharpen our claws some more...

**(had to attend a meeting and horror of all mothers-of-horrors, Ms.StuckUp is there too. Total unprofessional behavior of hers, showing her sour face so sour that I could pickle fruits with it. Haha. Rupa-rupanya Mr.Nutcase is her husband. Patut lah sensitif gile, dah la my colleague commented that we were adamant to argue because we hate dishonesty. Terasa ye Kak? Hahahah... Kesian, perangai macam budak kecik)

That fellow gotta be nuts

if he thought that I was going to let that happen without a fight. Just because I am new doesn't mean that I am a greenhorn or naive, and hell if it means that you can simply change the groups in this competition.

As a teacher I am of the conviction that we are to give moral examples to the students. What about you "kind" Sir?

What morals are you trying to teach my dear Sir? That it is okay to employ shady tricks to ensure others' downfall? That it is acceptable to manipulate the group/division just so that we happen to meet our nemesis earlier? What happened to the casting of the lots done weeks before this? Did you bump your heads and happen to suffer from selective amnesia?

My dear Sir, although you have years of experience, what you did caused me to lose my respect and faith in you. Instead of being role models to newbies like me, you are showing us how low you are willing to sink.

Kesian.

And if you thought that I would silently bear this in silence, you are very wrong. For one, I am stressed and usually when I'm stressed, I'm in combat mode. Did you enjoy how I drilled you and presented my arguments? How about when I questioned your reasons? Did you have as much fun as I did during my verbal combat? (see boys & girls, being involved in debates are beneficial for you, especially to fry someone's ass off!)

One good thing to remember, looks can deceive you.

I'M NOT ALL SUGAR AND SPICE AND EVERYTHING NICE!

Dah la aku lama dah tak laser melaser orang nih...Peluang mau makan orang nih...Ratah...Ratah...

Note: Going for the semi finals tomorrow. Bringing reinforcement. Haha..Rasakan kau betapa powernya cikgu sekolah aku me'laser' orang. Jadi lah ko swiss cheese dek terkena 'laser-laser' esok

Rant #1 Stalker Alert / Rant #2 Male Pig

--These rants are targetted to 2 different Individuals

Rant #1
I am getting tired of this.

Because of this problem I've had to to change my blog address a few times. It drives me and my blogging mates crazy to change my links all the time.

I thought that it is enough.

Until today, when I clicked that little' 'who's viewed me' link in my friendster and ...

Damn! Get a life already. This is getting sickeningly disgusting.

It is OVER so get over it already!!!

Rant #2

You bloody-a$hole!!!
You got the nerve to tell me that
"orang Indu anang belaki laun...Enggai ka tusah beranak"
Females should get married early so that it is easy to give birth.

You f**king bastard!
I never know you and you don't know me. The closest link you have with me is through your wife's YM (What the hell are you doing with your wife's YM ID anyway??? I bloody thought that I was chatting with her) and you've got the nerve to say that?!
What the hell do you know about me anyway? Why do you have to f**king care?
It is MY body, MY life and I can do whatever I want with it. So take your gender-biased ASS off my space.

Do all of us a favor, please.
Go f**k yourself... in Hell!!!!

PAINFUL FRIENDS

Damn...

I am so frustrated with juvenile, childish people. Those who'd known me for years know very well that I am so intolerant of people who behaved childishly with me. Konon2nya adults. Much older than me but acted so juvenile. Macam mana nak survive dan menjadi guru yang baik???

Go and play with small kids will ya? I don't have time for the stupid manipulative games that you want to play...Shooo...shooo... pi jauh2...

To be nice all the time to these childish people is so taxing on my energy... Some more I'm having my lower back pain again (James, help!), my assignments and projects, I really don't have the patience to deal with this. Felt like bashing them up but then, that wouldn't look nice on my resume ya. Don't worry-lah, hope it won't go to that extent. Otherwise, all those anger management things will just go to waste.

Now, how must I deal with this. I can either:
  1. Keep quiet and hope things will get better (miracle now please)
  2. Deal with it. Tell them and just get it over with (easier said than done)
  3. Be a grand diva and throw a tantrum of great magnitude (dramatic, enjoyable, but irrepairable damage)
  4. Bash them up (good prospect but bad for my record la)
  5. Get a new set of friends (I will be labeled as buang kawan senegeri)
*sigh* being friends with certain species of girls has always been a pain in the a$$ for me. Why can't they just chill and not be so juvenile-ish about things?

EDIT: Am getting cool now and I've edited some real nasty things from this post. That was kinda cheap shot at those who hurt me.
As the Lord said to answer the question "How many times must I forgive my brother? Seven times?". The Lord saith " No, seventy times seven".

Lord, help me to forgive those who hurt me (deliberately or otherwise) and forgive them, for they know not what they do. Amen.
