Rant: Incompetent Lazyass Nincompoop!

Haih!

What a day! So early in the morning I already had the urge to brutally slaughter people. Mentally I was on a murderous spree.

[picture this: a bloody massacre. kids and teachers running like headless chickens. blood everywhere. Music: All the seram movie sound effects].

Damn those incompetent, lazy nincompoops for unleashing my Jekyll/Hyde persona. Know why?

Every Tuesday we have the school assembly and since I am one of the teachers-in-charge for it, I try my darnedest best to ensure no major hiccups during the assembly. Not an easy feat when you're supposed to work together with an incompetent nincompoop and a bunch of numb skulls with plankton-sized brain. Every Tuesday, without fail they will raise my BP a few notches with their carelessness. Every time that happens, I pointed out what went wrong and how NOT to repeat the same mistakes. Semua angguk-angguk, ok-ok, sengih-sengih and assured me that they understand and it will never happen again.

But today I just had enough of that crap. The assembly was a near disaster of catastrophic porportions. Everything was CRAP! It took all my inner strength to hold myself back from marching up there and wring their scrawny necks. The senior prefects lepas tangan, letting the two freshie prefects as the emcees. When the two newbies f*cked up, they didn't even bother to assist or take any action to rectify the situation. The script, announcements, prize-giving, everything just went bust.

[turn to Hulk-mode]

I almost went ballistics! What did the nincompoop do? Absolutely nothing! Man, you on dope or what?! You are sitting right next to them and you did nothing?! I called you on your cell (you didn't answer). I sms'ed my friend to inform you (which my friend did. Thanks, R).

and.you.did.nothing.

(take deep breaths. think happy thoughts. -repeat 10, 000 times)

After the assembly, I called all the prefects-in-charge. They took one look at my face and they know it already "Uh-oh, we're in deep shit!". Damn right they are. I didn't blame the newbies but the senior prefects, I chewed them right through and through that by the time I was done, mata merah-merah sudah. Nak nangis kunun. Ada aku kesah?

Next I marched up to the Nincompoop and told him in a calm, murderous voice that next week this better not happen again. What? I was on leave on Monday and he was supposed to have a briefing with the prefects to finalize all the details before the assembly. Guess he never bothered to. And today act all surprised as if he never expected this to happen. Buduh! Do I have to pull YOUR strings to get you to do your job? I'm your colleague, we're paid to do our job well so start pulling your weight, you nincompoop!

If you want to put up a show as blistering idiots, do it some other time. You want to look stupid, find some other time. Not during assembly. Definitely NOT when I'm here. Definitely NOT if my name's gonna be dragged into your bloody mess!

Like how many times to I have to bloody repeat myself? Do I have to literally drill a hole into your thick skulls and shove the f*cking instructions into your (perhaps non-existent) brains?

It's frustrating to work with people like this. Glad big boss wasn't in today. If not, my ass would have been fried and the headlines on tomorrow's paper would have read;

"Enraged teacher on killing spree".

Stomachache or FP (again)?

My family's going to the 'Malaysian Products Fair' in Sibu. Seems that today's the last day. Dad said there's a lot of good products available.

But.

I can't go.

Got this blasted awful stomach ache that won't go away. Since last night. Drove like a madwoman from Sarikei to home because suddenly while I was driving back, I had the sudden urgent urge to *ahem* do big business. Sweating because of the intensity of the 'contractions'. God save the stupid slow motorists who just happens to be driving on the same road out there. Reached home in record time and wahey, just in time. Otherwise I would have crapped in my pants. Bloody hell!

FCUK!

Is my tummy too bloody sensitive or what?! If I count how many times I've had bouts of tummy cramps, ache and FP, I'd be rich by now.

I seriously need to do something. Got any tips?

Weekend Update

A very short weekend for me as yesterday was a working Saturday for me. Next weekend is also another working Saturday as I have to attend a training session.

I hate working Saturdays.

>:-(

Now some people may say that I shouldn't complain as teachers only work half-day. How wrong they are. Let me set this straight. Teachers do not, i repeat, do not work half-day. My typical week would go something like this.

Monday to Friday
(0630 - 1340):
6.30 am must be in school already. Usually 3-4 hours of classes daily. Squeeze in lesson preparation, meetings, management duties.

Afternoon:
Monday (usually I'm quite free on Mondays unless there are meetings, extra classes, etc.)
Tuesday & Wednesday ( Training session for the Projek Gemilang English Debate. Extra classes too once a fortnight.Until 1630)
Thursday (This day is usually 'set aside' for meetings, meetings and meetings. Once it lasted until almost 6pm. We started at 1.20pm and some haven't had lunch yet)
Friday (ok, can cabut early from school provided I don't have any school-related activities)

And that is my typical week. So I do look forward to spending my weekends as leisurely as possible, and I do my laundry on weekends too (twice; one for work clothes and another for non-work clothes. Yeah, I can be anal sometimes), watching TV because I don't watch TV on weekdays, or just curling up with good book in hand. I need to unwind and relax to be refreshed and energized to meet the week ahead.

I love what I'm doing actually. I just hate the non-related stuffs that get in the way of doing what I love to do best. Teaching.

Some may say that private sector employees work on Saturdays too. No big deal. To you kind sir, go and try going to a school and teach and by teach I mean you give your damn best (not the half-hearted crapsh!t) and then you tell me if we have it easy. I've worked in the private sector too and it's different.

Teaching can be stressful. My advice to aspiring teachers will be "Have a genuine passion for teaching and manage your stress well. I you can't: Kalau tak mati cepat, boleh jadi gila. Focus on the job and handle the pressure from your students and also your superiors."

Okay, I'm off to some R&R time. TTFN!

You Send Me - Half Crazy

I first heard this song a few months ago, or maybe I've heard it waaay before that, but I simply love this song. It's a simple but lovely song. The lyrics are very simple but then, the best songs are always simple isn't it?

Be forewarned though, you may find yourself humming or singing this tune without realizing it.

I've caught myself on a few occasions breaking into this song. Well, if my life's a movie, it'll be a musical :-)

----------------------------------

How was my day today?
All I can say it's a mixture of the good and some not-so-good thrown in for kicks.
Spent two days away from teaching as I had to be the official photographer for the school photo-taking session for the school magazine.
A very tiring two days... Make that a very tiring, annoying two days.
If I had my way, I'd wring a few necks and bashed a few heads.
If I had my way, there'll be bloodbath and massacre or mass murder or some missing limbs or something.
If taking photos of the classes are difficult, taking photos for the various staff committees seriously induced the most pain in the backside, if you get what I mean. I think I burst a few blood vessels in the past two days.

The good? I spent my afternoon at my colleague's house today. Had a pleasant time chatting with her and fussing over her baby. Baby F is one month old today! Yippee Yay!
Baby F is my friend/colleague's baby boy. I usually call him 'boyfriend' 'cause my friend was really 'in love' with me during her whole pregnancy, like really. LOL!

Helped my friend to feed the baby and change the nappies. Baby F behaved so well that when I bathed and clothed him, he barely let out a squeak (usually he'll scream his lungs out)... His mummy said it's kind of weird. Haha, maybe I have that touch with babies eh?

To lighten things up, enjoy this hilarious vid... Linkin Park sure pecah perut watching this. Numb versi Jawa???
ROTFLOL!!!

Meet My (Super)Hero

Why so serious? LOL!

My siblings say that I inherited most of my Dad's traits. Dad's zany sense of humor (although in me it's magnified a hundred-fold. LOL!), passion for teaching (this one all of us siblings got it), cool exterior, musical taste, muka garang and a fierce try-la-if-u-want-to-kena stare (fierce face that'll make a lil' kid wet his pants. LOL!), problem-solver and fix-it-all and loves cats :-)

Mr Rajang 1971 :-)

However, my siblings always complain that I'm too much like Dad also sometimes. Like how?

Like how both of us are stickler for punctuality. If say 7, we really mean 7. God knows how many times I tinggalkan my Sis when she's late.

Like how both of us are bossy. We like things done our way ('cause we know we're right. LOL!)

Like both of us are perfectionist. Second best is not an option.

Like both of us are tech-geeks. My Dad owns a blog. Go figure.

Aba,

Still remember how we were partners-in-crime when you sneaked mum's lipstick and we broke it? What a loooong motorcycle ride we had that evening just to wait until mum cooled off before we dare to come home.

Remember the swimming lessons where I never learn how to swim when you taught me (Whose idea was it to throw me into the Rejang river anyway?) and how you always forced me to see the dentist when I was little, and all those 'drama air mata' we have every mealtimes and makan ubat time, and how stupid I became when it's time for me to recite the multiplication tables in front of you (honestly dad, the sight of you holding a rotan shrivels up my brain matter) and I'd stutter and stammer my way through it all.

Still remember when you caned me when I returned home waaay past 6pm from playing football with my friends. It hurt, Aba, not from the caning itself but from the fact that you are angry at me.

You are a stern disciplinarian, Aba, and for that I must thank you. You taught me the values of respecting others, hard and honest work, and most of all, faith in myself. You've shaped me to be the person I am now.

Aba, you're my hero!

Happy Father's Day Aba... :-)
God bless you always

Love,
your girl :-)

p/s: Happy Father's Day to all dads who visit my blog. Happy Father's Day also to AbaSiko, Aba Simanggang, my brothers, my brother-in-law. :-)

Random: Hu-Ho-Ha

Friend : You've lost weight.

Me : And you need new glasses.

Location: Staff Room

----------------------------------------------------------

Me : You should see a Dentist. Your cheek seems to be swollen.

Student : No, I don't want to.

Me : Why? Are you afraid of the Dentist?

Student : No. I love my tooth *while grimacing in pain*

Me : Oh, so love is pain :-)

Location : Classroom

--------------------------------------------------------------

Busy, busy, busy
Have a debate competition to organize next week for the Academic week. Exam results analysis to complete, Report cards to prepare. I love my job too damn much
I heard 'Big Brother' coming sometime near *sigh*sigh* Unrealistic demands, here we go again!
Just realized what a pain in the ass it is to be assigned to select the 'batik' fabric for all the staff. Like standing buck naked in the middle of the field in front of a firing squad armed with sniper rifles and bazookas (over exaggerating, but you know what I mean). Small wonder the predecessors hated this task.
We have English Day every Wednesday and Friday.
Everyone must speak English on that day.
No big deal for me but...
... The school's eeriely quiet.
LOL!

Me Vs (Mean) Nurse

Image taken from here
* I shall write this in Iban.. :-) Lest anyone think I've forgotten my roots.

Macha cerita charlene ngenang diri ke nyau besaut-saut enggau nurse nyau ngasuh aku tekenang ka cerita aku empu maya taun 2002 suba.

Aku tu, amat enda nampak mangah (gila-gila bisi la) tang ma orang kelalu sigi ka aku, suah endar udah bekerakar enggau sida indu misi nya. Bisi ke manah nya sigi amat manah meh enggau kitai tang yang 'alang2' nya ke ngasuh pedis ati.

Agi ingat aku maya inik aku ditaban ngena ambulance suba laban hypertension (almost stroke inik ku maya nya), inik aku madah diri ka tekemik (org tuai sigi nadai tan enda kemik). asuh ku nganti sampai datai di hospital laban nadai jauh agik. Nurse yang escort kami ari Bintangor nya amat iya nya C*** tang manah amat iya jara. Iya meh berumban minta 'bed pan' kena inik ku kemik ba nurse emergency ward nya. Yang ngasuh aku hot, nurse ke ba emergency ward nya (bangsa kitai) lalu tinggi suara iya,

"Eh, there's a toilet outside, patient can go there!" ko iya lalu sekali nadai meh malik ngagai kami.

Engka iya meda inik aku nya baka indai tuai ari rumah panjai serta aku empu teberunsai gamal nyau baka ke udah di lua' ka sawa (benung tinduk aku digerak Aba ku mai nganjung inik ke hospital, ni bisi ari nganta. Begari pen enda aku, ngena baju tinduk aja aku) nya meh iya enda kiroh kini.

Aku apa lagi, nyau angat ati ku ninga jaku ia nya (bai ati kesal gak begau ka inik) lalu nyaut meh aku.

"Excuse me, but if you'll just turn around and observe, you will definitely know that my grandmother is in no shape to sit, let alone stand and use the toilet outside. If she's well enough, do you think I'll let her use a bed pan. God knows how filthy it could be."

Nah, kan dah kena dengan aku.

Lalu malik indu nurse nya, lama ia merening aku (aku apa gik, muka harimau gila ku dah pansut, anang ka mayuh macam ia maya nya). Udah nya nyau lesay2 mua ia mansang lalu nanya aku, lembut jaku ia.

"Inik nuan tuk kah. Oh...(lalu check my grandma's stat etc)"

Pey, ko ati aku, enti enda ninga aku tu nyaut ia 'speaking' kada enda ditejuk ia bakanya aja inik ku. Kumbai ia sengapa ajak.

Udah nya inik aku lalu admit ngagai ward. Kiak meh kami duai inik besurung ngena kerusi roda meh inik. Udah diberi ubat nyau ok gik inik. Bisi manah gik mua iya. Datai sida Aba ari betemu enggau doktor, inik lalu ngerepot aku ke nganu misi nya. Aik, betangkup ka oksigen gik sempat gak inik nyadi wartawan..Hehe. Tang family aku sigik nemu aku pengambis mali meda orang rude ngagai orang tuai, especially ba mua mayuh.

Inik pun ditan ke orang ba hospital. Ba wad inik ku nya bisi mayuh gak patient. Bisi inik tuai siko, kasih amat tudah laban menua ia jauh nadai meh bala iya ngintu iya. Datai gak bala sida 'attenden' nganjung ai angat lalu ngasuh patient ngambi ai angat. Aku benung nyapi' inik ku makai. Lalu ngangau meh inik tuai tu minta ai angat.

Disaut indu siko (indu L***),

Attenden: "Nama enda ngambi kediri empu deh?"

Inik Tuai: "Enda dapat aku endu."

Attenden: "Ni bala nuan deh? Nama sida enda ngambi ke dik?!"

Inik Tuai: "Nadai bala ngibun ku endu. Menua kami jauh..."

Atenden: "Auk... Jauh meh... pot pet pot pet..." (ngelesay ka inik tuai)

Apu, alu niki tekanan darah aku. Alu ku saut...

Aku: "Eh, nadai kebuah nuan enggai ngambi ai ke inik tuai nya. Sigi pengawa kitak. Manah kitak diatu nadai nuci tai, nuci jamban. Suba nya pengawa kitak. Enti inik nya dapat, enda ia diau di spital deh. Anang meh kitak ngaga inik nya baka nya. Enti bangat enggai, kapa ka ngereja pengawa tu deh? Mayuh orang bukai ke ka ngiga pengawa."

(Sinu aku meda inik tuai nya, nya meh aku sampai nyaut munyi nya. Sepi asai baka inik diri empu digaga orang bakanya)

Udah nya lalu enggau mulut muncung indu nya ngisi termos inik tuai nya. Aku apa lagi, kuring leka mata ku meda mua indu nya. Nasib iya nadai mayuh jaku agik enggau inik nya, enti enda, mengkul kening ia ditachi ku.

Bejaku patient siko, bangsa Cina (suah pansut-tama wad nya, regular patient ko aku), nusoi agai kami ulah sida staff wad nya.

Aunty: "Wa amoi, bagus lu ada cakap itu macam sama mereka. Itu orang ha, memang selalu itu macam. Kuat jahat. Kuat kasar cakap sama orang, lagi kalau itu orang kampung datang punya. Haiya... Dia orang tidak berani sahut lu, dia orang tahu lu bukan sebarang orang, lu berani cakap dia salah. Bagus amoi.."

Siti da agik aku perasan, mula-mula layan orang pia-pia aja inik aku, ukai minta VIP treatment tang at least anang ngelak ka patient baka nya ajak. Udah nya lalu datai bala menyadi apai aku, bala betunggal bala kaban ngabas inik ba wad, tegenung sida meda bala kami ke datai. Ni ke pengajar, ni ke gawa nurse, ni ke polis, mayuh macam meh. Sekali datai 'Matron' hospital nya, cun-cun ia ngelala betunggal aku ke gawa nurse... Bah, engka berunding meh sida ia. Apu, enda ulih sengapa enggau inik tuk. Sekula magang bala uchu ia. Parai enti sida tuk ngerepot ulah kitai.

Udah nya lalu silik meh sida ia meri treatment. Udah beberapa hari lalu tauk discharge gak inik aku. Aku pen betemu enggau sida Doktor enggau nurse (ke mentas) ke silik nyaga inik aku sepemanjai iya masuk hospital to thank and convey our gratitude for their care of my inik. Baka ko aku ba pun jaku aku tadi, ukai semua nurse ba hospital nya jai, tang baka ko jaku sempama "kerana nila setitik, rosak susu sebelanga"..Kategal siko dua ti jai, lalu ngerampit orang bukai.

Ngarap ka udah tu mayuh agik bala nurse ke mentas lalu lurus ati deka ngintu pengerai bala rakyat.

(Note: Mula-mula kami ka request inik ditaban ngagai Hospital Sibu tang Doktor ba semak kami ditu madah iya enggai ngelepas inik kin laban 'vein' inik aku dah bisi collapse, kira nyau ka stroke dah. BP nyau manggai lebih 200 (systolic) ia. Ka pen enda dianjung meh ngagai Hospital siti tuk...hmmpphhh)

p/s: Bisi siko kawan lama aku jadi enggau bangsa kitai madah ke aku, enti ka ngabas bala kaban laki ia masuk hospital, ia lalu begarik ngena working/smart clothes. Nama kebuah? Ngambi org ke gawa diak nemu kitai ukai ulih gaga sida sengapa ko ia. Nemu sida nangi ka mistreat kaban laki ku. Anang meda bala laki ku nya datai ari rural areas lalu sepeneka sida ajak (to quote my friend).

Prayer: School Reopening

Dear God,

I pray that as the new semester begins, let me be energized and inspired to give my very best to teach and guide the students. Grant me the patience (lots of it) to deal with everything and everyone as well as the extras that I know will be given to me. Continue to bless me with the crazy sense of humour that You've given me as it keeps me sane all this while.

I pray for my students to want to be in school and learn and God, please grant them the wisdom of never to mess around in my class especially when it's PMS-time. Grant them the will to complete their homework before I have to make them eat it or other unimaginable horrors that I would really love to inflict on them. Grant them the faith and hope that they can make a difference in their lives and that I can be an instrument to help them make a change.

and most of all dear God,

Please make the weather cool and the heatwave disappear. You know of the 'skunks' that's been making the staff room a horrid place to be. The hot weather will make their stench even more lethal and hazardous to our sanity. We've been so miserable enough when the weather was normal and now with this heatwave? Are You kidding me? Sitting near those two skunks would be experiencing purgatory on earth.

So please God, for my sake and the students' sake, let there be rain tomorrow or even better, make the skunks odor-less.

Amen.

Snapshots: Fill in Dialogue

Hey, I'm so bored so let's do something interesting or fun alright? I took some pics using the (lousy) webcam so all you need to do is to fill in the dialogue. Have fun!

Shopping: Lovely Lolitas Dress *hearts*

See the patterns? Nice kan?

I was admiring the dress worn by Chegu Carol during her school's reunion and what a wonderful surprise it was when she mentioned that she bought it online.

"Do tell where did you get that divine dress," I pleaded and Chegu Carol graciously obliged.
(Don't we all love it when we get answers for our questions? Not like some pompous a$$ who get kicks out of not responding. Pompous git!)

I quickly visited the online boutique she suggested
Online Fashion Malaysia

and voila!
Gorgeous clothes and oh, accessories too. Super!

I fell in love with this dress (been dying to get my hands on one of these) and can you guess how much?
RM70 only!!

I followed the instructions (it was easy peasy!) and they promptly responded. Made the payment through Maybank (Saturday noon). Confirmed my payment details through email and they mailed the package on Monday. I received my package today (Poslaju). Sweet!!

*all smiles*

I think I'll wear this to that school party end of this month. Haha... Let them jaws drop. Muahahahahahahaha...

Oh, stop it. Vanity suits me sometimes you know. LOL!

Thoughts: To Hold and To Let Go (Parents vs Children)

I've been thinking about this for quite some time but never had the opportunity to put it into words.

Parents and child. That's family and the family ties and the bond that was forged since Day 1 (of birth or conception) is a bond that's never broken. As the Malay saying goes, 'air dicincang takkan putus'. In a family there's a role played by parents and also the child, but as time passes and the child grows, the roles changed and shifted accordingly as the child becomes even more independent. Parents start to become less of an authority figure who dictates what is to be done and becomes more as an advisor.

But what happens when parents refuse to let go? When they feel threatened if their child becomes independent? When they still fight for their say in everything and insisted everything to be done 'their' way?

Tensions will surely flare. There's disharmony and resentment on both sides.

I know that some will say this "Chris, you are not a mother yet. If not, you will understand how we feel."

Yes you're right. I'm not a mother yet and I might not understand some of the 'mother's reasoning' I've heard my entire life. But I'm speaking from my point of view, a rather objective one it is.

Some parents will say, "I just want to protect my child from pain!"
If parents can still recall how it was when their toddler learn how to walk, how was the experience? I believe the poor tot would have stumbled, tripped and suffered a few bumps along the way before being able to walk. If you stopped them from taking those baby steps because you didn't want them to fall and get hurt, then the poor child will never walk. Crippled from too much love.
Same goes for when the child is all grown up. Whether we realize this or not, pain makes us stronger both mentally and emotionally. If parents protected their child too much up to the point where they have a say everything, then their child will be crippled. Again, from too much love.

Some parents will say, "I don't want them to make mistakes in their life!"
How infallible will your judgment be then? None of us knows what lies in the future. Being told how to live life is similar to having a backseat driver. It's annoying for the child and after a while they'll get sick of it. When they get sick of it, they rebel and when they do, that's when they become reckless.
What usually happened (based on my observation) is that, children who are brought up by over-controlling parents are usually the ones more reckless in their decisions. I've seen a lot of this happening in college and uni. They can lie through their teeth without breaking a sweat if their parents asked.
Mistakes can and do happen. There's no doubt about that. What we must do is not to dwell too much on that but to focus on learning so that it will not happen again. When the child is still a toddler, they must learn to understand that there's consequences for every action. Responsibility and independence should be given little by little over the years so that when they are young adults, they are ready and prepared to be responsible for their own life.

Some parents say, "Oh no, my little son/girl is with someone and I don't think that person is good enough for him/her!"
Parents, this is easy. Reflect on how it was for you when you and your partner was dating or planning to get married. How did you know you made a good decision? The fact is, we don't. We put our faith in something we believe and we made the effort.
Have faith in your child's judgment. And pray for them. And remember that your parents-in-laws may have the same reservations about you at the beginning :-)

So, whether we like it or not, at a certain point parents have to let go of their child. Let them live life. The measure of a parents' success is not how much money their child earns or what big shot jobs they do but what kind of person or parents their children in turn will be.

Wedding Bells: Alexander James & Mardellen Motinin

Congratulations to my dear dear BFF Alex & Marde.

These two have been a couple ever since their 1st year in Uni (2001 if I'm not mistaken) and now they're married.
*wipes tears of joy from eyes* ~Darn those sands~
We were housemates and I've seen and been with them through thick and thin and I really view them as more than just friends. They're like my siblings. I'm the big sister who'd bully teach them, advise them and just laugh and have fun with them.
They've always been there for me and I will be there for them. Still remember how I taught Marde to cook and forced Alex to do household chores. LOL!

Alex & Marde,
This marks the beginning of your journey as husband & wife. Be guided by God and may His blessings fall upon both of you and the new family you'll start. May God grant you the wisdom to be the leader of your own family and the strength to support each other in times of need. My prayers and blessing will always be with the both of you.

Love,
Kak Chris.

p/s: So sorry I could not make it there but if you have another one in Miri, I'll jadi tuai ngansar ke kaki. LOL!

The Prayer (Josh Groban & Celine Dion)

Lyrics here

I really love this song. I heard it years back and as I was reading my past posts, I found an old post of this song.

Blogger rant: Comment & reply

I know I'm supposed to blog about the Gawai celebration this year (visit my photoblog for the snapshots) but I just have to get this out of my system now because I'm kinda pissed off.

At what?

At people who don't have the decency to reply to comments. I find it basic courtesy to reply to comments be it compliments, critiques or even enquiries. Logically thinking, when one asks a question it's because one needs an answer isn't it? We don't need to be a rocket scientist to understand that. I have this policy of responding to the comments left at my blog since it's, you know, human to be polite to others.

What triggered this outburst? I am a supporter of the Iban blogging scene and so I'd visit the blogs on my friends' bloglist. I visited some of the blogs and I happen to see some familiar faces on their blog sonaturally I'd ask if it's the same person that I know. Mana la tau if it's pelanduk dua serupa kan? The first time I commented on this blog (tak payah nak sebut which blog la) I saw someone who looked like my ex-uni mate. I asked. That was last year. Until now, I never get any reply.
Okay.
Then I saw a pic of the blog owner with someone who I knew very well, a family friend, so I commented. Again, no reply.

FCUK la dey!

I may be someone you don't know but hey, a lot of other bloggers who were total strangers have the basic courtesy of replying and from there we became blogger friends.

Is it because I blog mostly in English that you deemed me un-Iban and thus, undeserving to be replied to? (Sh!T man, that was the excuse that an asshole gave me years back. Un-Iban enough my ass! )

Or is it because you're an ass??

Gawai Post 1

Updating my photos first. Then this blog. :-) Visit my photoblog for some pics taken during Gawai.

Thanks to Rubberseeds and friends who came to join the celebration at my longhouse. For some peeks at what we did during Gawai Eve, visit his page here

p/s: I think we're experiencing a heatwave. It's so hot that I got rashes from all the sweating (and the fan was at full speed).

Ado..Sik ado...Ado...Sik ado

Kolej TAR Bintangor a.k.a Kolej Chipsmore?
Kejap ada, kejap tak ada.

Reading this I don't feel any surprise at all. Memang dah agak pun something like this will happen. Ah, what fickle minds we have here. Made billions and still give a hoot what people think? That's the issue here? C'mon la dey!
Ah well, fickle minds will be, well, fickle.

DAP blow to Sarawak KTAR

KUCHING: Sarawak tycoon Tan Sri Ting Pek Khiing discontinued with plans to build the proposed Tunku Abdul Rahman College (KTAR) branch campus in Bintangor because the Opposition turned it into a political issue against him.

Ting said he felt upset when the DAP accused him of attempting to use the educational project to bribe the voters in last year’s election.

“When you want to donate something (by building the college) and people drag you to court ... how could this thing happen?’’ he asked, referring to the DAP’s bribery allegation against him in an election petition.

The petition was filed by defeated DAP candidate Dr Wong Hua Seh. Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Ding Kuong Hing defeated Dr Wong by a 51-vote majority in a five-cornered battle.

Dr Wong’s petition was rejected by both the High Court and Court of Appeal.

Ting had promised during the election campaign that he would donate land and pay for half of the project’s construction costs if Ding won the polls.

“I never had any intention to bribe the people. This is nonsense,’’ Ting said yesterday.

In last week’s state assembly session, the DAP criticised the SUPP for failing to keep its election promise after Ting announced that he would discontinue the project.

Ting said the SUPP had nothing to do with the proposed project, which was initiated by him, as the party did not have the means and resources to undertake such a big scheme.

He was disappointed that his good intention to implement the project as a personal contribution to his birthplace, Bintangor, had been turned into an issue and had drawn unfounded accusations.

Ting said he had spent some RM40mil to acquire and complete earthworks on the 120ha piece of land.

He said when he first announced his plan to build the campus in 1994, his sincerity and ability to implement it were questioned by certain people.

“They did not support the project as they said it could not be done. people,” he added.
