HOLA!!!

:)

Sorry...sorry... I know I've been a bad, tardy, procrastinating blogger for not updating as regular as you (or myself) would've liked. Well, things are rather complicated and deadlines are looming (yet, it feels unreal & unrushed). .

Since the last update, I was busy doing revisions for my exams (actually I was busy reading story books also la. not that rajin actually). Was ok, can actually answer without too much kelentong-ing the answers. =) Grace's students could possibly benefit from me in providing answers in their exams. Amacam Grace? Wanna take my offer? :p

All smiles. Chris on a good day :)

Happy Birthday to the two most important people in my life. Dad (10thSept) & Mum (11th Sept). Dad celebrates his 60th birthday and Mum's 54th birthday. They actually had a small makan2 at eldest bro's house which sadly, I was unable to attend. God bless you Mum & Dad! We love ya!

Congrats to Dad for getting his BBS also. :)

And the other reason I was away was that the Emperor Cat of the house underwent a procedure called 'spaying' or in pasar-style (kena potong itu biji). The aim is to reduce or avoid him wandering away and involving in fights for any female cats.

After the procedure, HRH Emperor Kecik (he's supposed to be eunuch rite?) was very demanding in terms of places to sleep (my bed and specifically my blanket), food (fresh, crispy Friskies only) and MILK. MILK! (Aiyo, 1 day we finish 1 ltr milk between the two of us). HRH also requires constant presence of yours truly (want to go out also have to tidurkan him also and sneak out quietly).

Thankfully, after 1 week, HRH's demands have significantly reduced but still kacau2 me to open door, open window, put food etc. , all at the ungodly hour of 3 or 4 a.m.

But then, it's just so lovely when u feel that warm furry feline snuggle against your legs.. even if it conquers the whole blanket and left you half-frozen.

Oh ya, he snores too.

Introducing HRH Emperor Kichik (cat that snores) ... his most cooperative picture so far. Usually he will look away and refuse to look at the camera.

And now my dog, Salem, is very sick at home. Dunno if Sarikei got vet or not. :(

Update: Salem just passed away this afternoon :(

REALITY BITES & CHEWS

::This post is written in a cryptic manner to avoid beings with limited capacity of reasoning from understanding this. :) ::

After watching last weekend's FINALE of THAT show, I can conclude that:

Malaysians are generally (or at least the masses that were mesmerized by the fever of THAT show) tone-deaf, blind and posess a funny sense of evaluating talents. Either that, or they were somehow brainwashed by some extra-terrestial force to do what they did last weekend.

There's just no other possible explanation.
.........................................................................................................................

I've refrained myself from writing anything about this topic particularly about THAT show from THAT broadcast station since I saw what happened to my friends' blog/msjboxes/tagboards. Some idiots googled THAT show and (persistently) decided to show their brand of loyalty by flooding the tagboards/msjbox/comments with lines that make me either roll-on-the-floor-laughing-my-intestines-out or to weep.(Weep because I dread if the same trend is going to show in the elections)

In this SHOW, the winner is NOT determined by talent or ability but by how well that person is liked adored by the masses. It doesn't matter if you're a nobody from the remotest part of the country, linguistically-challenged, tone deaf, etc, as long as the crowd loves you, hey, you're already THIS much closer to victory. Garner some sympathy, cry your eyes out, do some drama, act goofishly stupid - ooohh, see the crowd supporting you. See how shamelessly they imitate your every actions, words and expressions.

I'm not against anyone in THAT show. I watched a total of 3 shows (all watched with the Mr.) and I was surprised to see the adulation the crowds shower upon some of the contestants. Every comment (good or bad) was smothered by claps and shouts (geez, i wonder if they could even detect the whiff of sarcasm in the comments).

Surprised to see some with amazing talents (but limited fan base prepaid-credit power) being overlooked. But somehow, I am relieved. Because if these people are really talented, they'll succeed eventually. I've seen the previous winners getting nowhere except being just another face on tv being manipulated for their fan base to get profits by some companies (suckers!).

*sigh* The Malaysian kind of reality show. It bites you in awkward places.

EUGENE & SHEILA'S WEDDING

credits to Kim for this pic

Actually a very-lah belated congratulations to these two alumnis from CSSUKM (Their wedding was on June 4th) o_O. Eugene, a Malacca guy who surprised me sometimes with his *ahem* lawak and Sheila, a Sabahan lass whose housemate,Jasica, was my coursemate.

Well, wishing both of them a very blessed journey in their married life. :)

Hmmm.. This is the second wedding of two alumnis from CSSUKM (first was when I attended Jessica Randi&Victor Wong's wedding in Bintangor last year). Wonder if still got few making their way to the aisle. :)
