In case you are wondering, no, this is not a review of Mandy Moore's movie that goes by the same name. If you are looking for that movie, go here. What I want to say here is a totally different thing. Yes people, I am going to vent some steam!
I have a problem. Yes, I definitely do. I have a big problem with people who are such hypocrites that they show their perfect, good character to others (and you) while throwing mud at your back. I hate these people who smiled sweetly at you and then threw knives behind your back. Yes, I'm talking about those people with holier-than-thou attitude.
The very same people that tells you to rest and then bitch behind your back saying that you are lazy. Who announces to the world that you missed church service and smiled smugly because you missed it because they are saved and that you will burn in eternal fires of hell. The same ones who thinks that you are soooo screwed if you don't pray as loudly/hard/long/emotional as theirs. This type of people who thinks that they are much waaaayyy better than you, they can do everything much better than you.
So, here's what I want to say to this type of people,
Dear Mr/Ms. I.H.T.U (I'm Holier Than U)
I am no saint, and I know that fact. You're not a saint either, and that's another fact you must learn to accept. You tell/show others your good deeds, but do you really mean these good deeds??? I might not be a charity-giver but when I give a helping hand, I don't need a standing ovation or people gushing about how generous or good of me. I help with sincereness and out of compassion. Maybe that's a foreign concept to you, but IHTU, it's never too late to learn.
Never mind that I am different/rebel/whatever. We're supposed to be different. That's the uniqueness of being humans. Try and look past the differences and see me for the person I am. Respect. That's important.
There's so much I want to tell you IHTU, but I really think you must read it for yourself of the Lord's Commandment to us. Yes, go read the Big Book again, my friend, and open your heart this time.
Sincerely,
a friend.
