Eureka Moment : How to Keep Your Students Awake and Alert during 2.30 pm Class

The extra classes (or Kelas Bimbingan Akademik) for the kids in exam classes (Form 3, 5 and Upper 6) have started. Not much of a burden since I'm teaching only one SPM class and at the same time, I can focus on improving their achievements in English.

The only problem, my slot is at 2.30 pm. The most sleepy hour in the afternoon. That's when all the carbs from lunch are making their eyes very sleepy. I don't need a crystal ball to
see the problem.

Then, the 'Eureka' moment happened. I suddenly got an idea to keep them awake, alert and active for my extra class. Hehehe...
The secret is...

....

...

...

...

...

...

... Everytime a student (chosen by yours truly) gives the wrong answer or response (for something that was taught a million times already), their table partner will give them a slap. On the cheek.

None of my students slept.
And they finally managed to concentrate and understand.
Mission accomplished.

Muahahahahahahhahahaha! *evil laugh*

-----------------------------------------------
Note: In case any of you are thinking that I mendera (physically abusing) the students, It wasn't a tooth-breaking/lip-bleeding kinda slap... More of a 'tampar2 manja' / playful slap. Hahahaha

they haven't even mastered English...susah ka ngaga group activity. plus, it's a huge class of 46 kids. If ngaga group activity = chaos. Hahaha... anyway, just revised the grammar exercises that we have done so far.
I doubt that they'll dare to sleep next time.hahah

Oh haha terkejut budak dik kena tampar ma ngantuk hehe. Nge aku enda kisah langsung enti sida kak tido. Bergantungah, enti ku nemu time pengetua meronda, so aku pun meri kerja rumah to keep they busy doing something. Tang enti ku nemu pengetua outing, kekadang pelajar ngantuk ku enda kisah sida tidur, asal enda berterusan. Dah cukup meri masa 15 gerak ku dani and masuk belajar. Makin tuai umur kitak, makin kitak mai haluan kediri tanpa bimbingan guru. Kitak fikir kediriklah...
