Health: Love Thy Knees

Hi folks :-) *waves*

Been away as I was bogged down by work, loads of it, and most of the time I couldn't be arsed to think of blogging, let alone to actually write a post. Haha... Tanam sayur kat BarnBuddy rajin la aku... LOL!

Another reason is that my left knee was giving me trouble. At first I thought nothing of it as I have been experiencing knee discomfort for quite some time albeit being on-off. But when the 'clicking' sound/sensation every time I walk gets louder / amplified, and even my hips pun ter'click' also sometimes, I finally decided to see an orthosurgeon. I thought that it was something that the doctor would be able to fix by twisting my legs this way and that way... Mana tau...

First, the examination. I think the room must be sound proof as my parents didn't hear my screams from outside. Yes, I screamed. Siap pukul2 dinding lagi tu.

Next, the X-ray... 3 X-rays were done on my knee. Wah, mesti lutut aku rasa macam celebrity je...

Finally, the BOMB. My X-rays came out normal because the bones and stuffs were found to be in their proper places. So the doctor explained to me 2 possible causes for my problems... Either abnormality or injury.

Plica syndrome or Meniscal Tear.

Both may require surgery to ensure permanent curative effect. In the mean time, I must take medications and see if it helps. Ubat lagi. Dah la aku benci ubat!!!

Huhu, the surgery alone will cost me an arm and both legs (even my knee pun kena jual). But as my friend say, duit boleh cari... yang penting sihat and better quality of life.

The doctor advised me not to go up/down stairs (Dad/Bos, bila nak install escalator kat rumah/sekolah?) and no squatting. No jogging, long distance walking, etc (Gee, I haven't jogged in years la) and do low-impact exercises.

Chris, apu, balat ngak serious pemedih bala sidak kaki lutut nuan neh? Meh sampai ka di surgery mun amai ila. Mun nyak aku, alu petang mua ari di peda ku. Surgery? Ngagai dentist udah takut, keraya agi nama surgery..

Look after yourself auk cigu. Jaga diri mang. Aku pun benci makai ubat, tang mun ubat nya ulih ngerai ka kitai, empa aja meh diak ngecak ka ulih nyamai mimit asai. Will thinking about you in my pray.

Maya doktor nya explain mua aku blur aja. Nadai emotion aku. Nyau udah pansut baru mayuh runding. Akai dai, bingung aku. Nasib bala kawan aku bisi meri buah runding agai aku gak.

Ubat- enda nyamai empa meh. Ngica ka tau gerai nadai pedis. Malu asai ku nyau jukuk2/jingka2 bejalai. Even students ngerara meda aku bejalai lubah2. Biasa ya aku baka ke benung marching enti bejalai.

We could probably be having the same thing. But I have been told by many friends to switch from running to swimming and cycling instead, to avoid putting heavy impact on the knees.

Everything is worth a try for me right now as long as it's not under the knife.

A friend went under a knife 2 years ago and has not fully recovered - still have the same knee pain.
