Snapshots: Stupid Girl vs Cat, Pama' and Kasam Ikan

Ladies and gentlemen,

meet Agerl, or as I prefer to call her, 'stupid girl'...
Why?
Cause she's stupid low-IQ dog.
But not just plain stupid you know, stupid yet adorable (at least in my parents' eyes lar...).
And she likes to camwhore...

Meet Empress Pussi... She'll demand that you be her bed anytime she wants to. She's gorgeous and she knows it. *wink*

Meet Empress Pussi with the court jester. See how annoyed the cat looked here?

And I had these for dinner yesterday... Yummy!!!

Pama' goreng kicap... Yummy! Been craving for this dish for years since it's difficult to find here (near impossible)... Mum and Dad bought these from Sri Aman. Sedap weh!!!

Kasam ikan. Best eaten with hot rice.... slurpppp...

Should I?

Been thinking of getting a dog, a small breed dog for quite some time (since last year to be exact). Since my kechik died last year, I can't bear the thought of getting another cat. There's no way any other cat can ever replace kechik. I miss him until today.

Why get a small breed dog? Firstly, I want to keep the dog indoors because of the high occurrences of dogs being poisoned (I don't know which a$holes punya angkara) in my neighbourhood. My sister's two puppies (remember Duke & Duchess?) were poisoned and they died last year.

Secondly, I don't think I can handle a large dog. And there's no way that I can bring a large dog indoors without the dog wrecking things inside the house. If that happens, the dog will definitely be barred from ever setting foot inside.

We have two cats at home (Dad's and Mum's) and they don't like to be cuddled. Pelik kan? A large dog will probably maul them or get its eyes scratched out by the two feline fatales. Haha...

So today, after going to the PC Fair, we stopped at Wonderpets on our way back. I asked the owner about small breed dogs. They were very helpful and spent some time answering my enquiries about what type of dog would be suitable for me. They even let me sit around and read books about different dogs.

Saw some shih tzu puppies, they were very playful and oh-so-cute but their grooming will be a nightmare since they have long hair. I can just imagine the number of times the house had to be swept because of the fur/hair . No, shih tzu is out.

Cute but No.

What about chihuahua? Errr, don't really like them. RM900... err...

Not-quite-cute and no.

Then the owner suggested the daschund a.k.a. Sausage dog. Price will be around RM500 for a puppy. Hmmm... Shorthaired and small so should be okay for me. Reading more about this breed to learn how to care and train it. From what I read, this breed is moderately active and this means spending some time to bring it out for a walk and play in the park. Maybe I will be able to exercise after all. Hehehe...

Anyone have experience with this particular breed?

Cute and definitely-maybe?

Anyway, the owner of Wonderpets told me that the puppies will be ready maybe in a month's time. What do you think? Should I?

Snapshots: Moody Cat

Remember this pic?
"Tak kuasa aku nak layan!"

Puccie a.k.a Muu Muu is another member of the family. She's a bit temperamental sometimes but it's fascinating to capture her pictures as sometimes she will have certain interesting 'expressions'... Hehe
Here's some:
~ Muu Muu pretending to be a cast of CSI: Bintangor (the victim lah..note the blank expression in the eyes) ~

~Muu Muu telling us to "Talk to the paw!"~

~ Muu Muu's extremely bosan expression bordering on annoyance perhaps?~

~ Muu Muu's "I didn't do it!" expression ~

Try This! * Updated 21/09

Caption this picture and/or name the expression...
Hahaha

Thanks for the comments albeit having only four so far (four only?! seems like most prefer to be silent readers. C'mon, make your presence known, hehehe)

Here's another picture taken a few seconds after the above picture..hehe

*hypnotized a.k.a stoned?*
@_@

Been sick since last Thursday. Got MC for 2 days and spent the time sleeping off the meds. Fever is gone but my sore throat still hurts. It feels constricted and I can't even swallow food easily. Been relying on milo+oats to survive. Anyway, it's back to school tomorrow and with my sore throat, I've gotta plan how to deliver my lesson...

Heartbroken

If it's possible to have half of ME ripped away,
That must be what I'm feeling now.

If it's possible to have my HEART cut open and left to bleed,
That must be why it hurts so much.

If it's possible to hurt this much,
Can I ever recover from this LOSS?

Kechik,
You're NOT just a pet.
You were my BEST FRIEND
the JEWEL of my eye
A part of ME
I MISS YOU!

Merdeka / Vain / Kechik

On Saturday, when most are still curled up nicely in bed, I was already in school. Clueless as to what were the programmes lined up for the school-level Merdeka celebration. The perhimpunan was too long (too many things and poor time management - should be realistic a bit lah want to do so much, think the kids like brady bunch nice kah? so participative kah? WTH lah mau buat Kuiz that waste so much time?) and soon I was getting annoyed. I was hungry and bored. And that's a bad thing... Finally they had to end the assembly much much earlier (with still a lot of things not carried out but hey, I'm not complaining) because suddenly the electricity went kaput. Hehe...
The Car and Motorcycle decorating competition. I didn't join in. Tak kuasa. Not that I'm not patriotic or anything, just that I didn't want do to a half-assed job and I was busy the whole week. It was fun to watch though. Hehehe
My Merdeka smile... Been using the Darlie's latest toothpaste and I like it so much. It's much fresher without the 'bite'... Also, notice something here? Clue: look at me eyes... Hehehe... No, not using contacts yet. Just that I had my eyelashes permed. Yes. Permed. Vain la pulak.. Hahaha... I liked it since now I just need to swish swish d mascara without having to tediously curl my eyelashes first (which shortens my make up routine by 0.5 minutes). Hey, time is gold you know?
Kechik is sick since yesterday. Had to rush him to the vet this morning. He also gave me a lot of work; cleaning my room (mopping the floor - he puked everywhere) and laundry (he puked on the bed)... Was so worried and I couldn't sleep well since he seemed to be spasming and with every spasm he'll be meowing loudly. Cranky as an old scrooge too.
This is Kechik on the way to the vet. He was meowing noisily all the way and unlike previous visits, he wasn't behaving at all. He was grumpy and stubborn. I guess he's really in a lot of pain. Poor Kechik. Haven't been eating since yesterday... If his condition still persists, will send him again.

Snapshots: Duke & Duchess

Introducing you to the two cute puppies I got for my sis. I gave the name to the two puppies and here's Duke (male puppy) and

... Duchess (female puppy).
Duchess is the hyperactive one compared with Duke. Whereas Duke is able to stay still and be cuddled, Duchess on the other hand, will not stay still for longer than 30 seconds. 2 small creatures with boundless energy. Hehehe.. My evenings are usually spent here to play with the 2 adorable puppies since I will let them play and romp around in Sis' spacious yard.

My True Story: Chomot

On the inside looking out

Hi everyone. Let me introduce myself. My name is Chomot and I am the family pet of this blog owner. Since all of us (three of us actually; Kichik, Puccy and yours truly) are not allowed to venture outside the house, we amuse ourselves by looking outside. I wonder why my owners never let us go outside. Maybe it has something to do about the other cats before us being 'kidnapped' (cat-napped?). My owner always say that we are gorgeous cats, maybe that is why we live a pampered life inside. Hmm... I don't think there's anything fun outside anyway (although Kichik is obsessed with his ambition to go outside), since whenever my owner's brother came he looks all sweaty and he stinks, at least that's what my owner always complains about. I never want to get sweaty and stinky. Yuck!

My Crib

This is my favorite resting place, just outside my owner's room. This way I can easily be aware the moment she wakes up so that I can ask for my food. Sometimes the other two cats will get jealous of me and they will try to squeeze into my 'bed'. If it's Puccy, it's fine. We can even share the 'bed'.
Kichik: Uh-oh

It it is Kichik, I better get out of his way, he's bad news sometimes especially if he is hungry. When ever he's hungry, Puccy and I will hide under the sofa since he will never be able to get us there. Kichik, *snorts* what a very unsuitable name for such a big fat cute cat like him. Sometimes when Kichik tries to sleep in my 'bed', he'll end up falling basket and all. Sape suruh gemuk?
Hehehe
Speaking of Puccy and Kichik, here's a picture of them doing their routine.... being lazy cats that they are.
Sometimes the two of them will somehow gang up against me. Sometimes they ignore me or even chase me around. Why? I can't understand it. Maybe it's because they are both Siamese so they think they are waaay better than me (Kichik is my uncle too).
My owner always say that all of us are beautiful and special. She likes my jet black fur and the cute 'socks' on my feet. She could even imitate my voice. Oh, I adore my owner. She understands that I don't like cuddles but I know she'd love to cuddle me sometimes. That's why sometimes I ask for cuddles every now and then. I know she'd love it. I hate it but then, it's a small price to pay compared with how much she pampers us. I remembered how she slept with us in the living room when we were down with some bug and how she rushed us to the vet the very next morning.
So I'd like to take this opportunity to thank my owners for pampering us and taking such good care of us.

Chomot the cutie *chewah*
I gotta go. Dinner's ready.

Love,
Chomot

Weekend Retreat

Ah! The weekend.
Time for us to stop and relax our frazzled nerves and enjoy the rest our body needs after a hard week's toil.
Time to stop and smell the flowers and enjoy the peace and serenity of a restful day. Went to my 'other workplace' for a meeting yesterday and to look at my working schedule. Wow, I get 2 slots of lectures and 30 students. 30 adult students! Now, I am going to have a lot of assignments to mark and an online discussion t facilitate and monitor. Thank goodness for the hi-speed internet at home. Must organize my time really well to juggle my 'daily bread job' and the 'road tax+insurance job'. Heheh

Yesterday my niece brought my cat, HRH Kechik out. On a leash. Read that, A LEASH... My neighbours were looking funnily at the scene of a cat on a leash. Maybe need to coin a new term as in 'walk the cat'. The reason, we never allow HRH Kechik out of the house since my previous cats were often kidnapped (catnapped?) and those were the normal 'kucing kampung' or local breed. Kechik is a siamese+local breed with BIG BLUE eyes and FAT (6 kg!) and so friendly that letting him out would be akin to putting a 'KIDNAP ME' tag around his neck.
He was enjoying the walk, taking time to smell the grass and flowers but he was quite freaked out by the sounds of the outdoors. Will bring him out for more walks more often in the future.

Grandma going back next Saturday. Am going to miss her a lot. This is my grandma from my Dad's side and I am close to her. She made a quilted blanket ('pua tampung seribu') for my youngest cousin and me. Hehe.. That is my favorite blanket and I always bring it everywhere with me.
I stayed with her in the village while waiting for my SPM results. Had so much fun. Kept her company after my grandpa died middle of the year 1996. After that, she went to stay with my aunties who were working in Kapit and maybe because she didn't walk around so much, she's having problems walking now. Not that she couldn't walk, but she can't walk for quite a distance and she needs a lot of assistance to climb up steps. Maybe being in a prolonged period of inactivity caused her leg muscles to lose mass. Am thinking of what therapy can be done to rehabilitate her legs so that she can walk better. Any suggestions?
